2015-2016 YAC Officers & Chairs   

 

Meet your elected officers and chairs for the 2015-2016 school year. YAC Governors vote at the end of each year for officers. Officers will decide on committee chairs over the summer break. If you are intersted in running for a chair or committee, please contact the YAC President! 

Arshiya Ansari, President

I'm Arshiya Ansari, and I am a senior at Stone Bridge High School and the Academy of Science. I have been a part of Youth Advisory Council ever since my freshman year of high school, and it has been an amazing opportunity for me to meet some wonderful people and give back to my community. I love listening to music and playing the guitar so I used to be a big contributor to the Youthfest committee. I look up to powerful women such as Beyoncé and Leslie Knope to inspire me to be the best leader I possibly can be for Youth Advisory Council.

My name is Jane Chang, I'm a senior at the Academy of Science and Stone Bridge High School, and this is my fourth year in YAC. Since my freshman year, I've worked on the Youthfest committee to organize Youthfest and Battle of the Bands events. I love helping showcase the talents of this county's youth,  and I can't wait to continue this and make a great impact in the community this coming year. During the year I play lacrosse for Stone Bridge, participate in Model United Nations, and volunteer in my free time through YAC and the National Honor Society.

Committee Chairs

I'm Spencer DuPuis, and I am a senior at Heritage High School. I have been a part of the Youth Advisory Council since my sophomore year of high school, and it has been a great opportunity to volunteer and give back to Loudoun County. This past year I was a part of the  Youthfest committee and it was really fun. Outside of YAC I am the Co-President of my school's National Honor Society, Editor-in-Chief of my school's newspaper, and I am also a journalist for LoCoSports. I can't wait to help make this year the best year!

 

My name is Noelle Branch, I am a senior at Loudoun County High School and this will be my third year in YAC. In the past I have been in both the communication and Youthfest committees. I am very passionate about volunteer work and giving back to my community, and being apart of YAC has allowed me follow this passion. Outside of YAC I am very involved with SCA, FEA, Mu Alpha Theta, and various other clubs at my school. I have gained so many lasting friendships and memories from YAC and I am so excited for many more to come this year!
