Active Civics To Inspire Our Nation (ACTION)

 

Morven Park hosts the annual YAC and Morven Park: Center for Civic Impact leadership retreat every year.

 

ACTION leaders are high school students who want to make an impact!  This youth leadership program takes place after school and over the course of two semesters. Students learn civic leadership skills, empowering them to confidently and effectively impact public issues.

 

In the fall semester, students meet 10 times at Morven Park for intensive discussions, project work, and leadership training – as they create their impact plans to address issues they care about. In the spring semester, students are challenged to either work with elected officials to move their plans forward, or take a grass roots approach to effect change through community activism.
